How Does Honda AWD Work? – Intelligent Variable Torque Management
One of the Honda AWD systems is called the “Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4) AWD System.” This system monitors the torque level on both the front and rear axles and then distributes exactly the amount of power that is necessary. It also monitors individual wheel traction and redistributes power to wheels as needed.
How Does Honda AWD Work? – Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System
The other Honda AWD system is called the “Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System.” This system monitors traction of the rear wheels through the back axle. If it senses a drop in traction in either of the rear wheels, it will divert power to those wheels. This system is ideal for mid-size Honda SUVs and CUVs.
